Evening Ladies,
I am a little bit worried as I have never held a baby before that I can remeber I think I held my little brother when I was 5 so dont remember it. Im really worried that when LO arrives Im not even going to know how to hold her never mind eerything else I need to do Help

There will be loads of classes and workshops available to you in your local area....there's even Dad to Be classes. The main thing holding newborns is to support the head and neck but your midwife will tell you everything you need to know hunny. You will find though that instinct smacks you in the face like a wet kipper and you will soon get the hang of it.

Me and the moron are also going to get a really cheap pack of nappies and a doll for him to practise changing, holding and feeding on lol.

Any questions or queries just ask, lots of us are in the same boat, I'm a first time mummy :yay: xxxxxxxx

google pictures of people holding babies, then do it with a teddy, you won't hurt him/her don't worry :)

Trust me once you get handed your baby you just know how to hold him/her. It will be like 2nd nature x

Thanks im definatly going to buy a cheap doll and nappys for me to practice on,never thought of that before thanks your all really helpful

I had the same concerns when i was pregnant with my daughter, it felt daunting in the hospital, i felt like everyone was judging my every move with her (even though they werent) but as soon as got home i felt more at ease and things just came naturally :) i'm sure you will do just great xx
