Worried!!

Hello all. I'm new to the forum and I am (should be) around 7 weeks pregnant. This isn't my first pregnancy though. I had a missed miscarriage around 2 years ago- found no heartbeat at first scan. And had another miscarriage at 6 weeks in december. My husband and I are so excited but I am also really nervous. How do I know that the baby is alright? I can't wait to have my first scan..and it seems ages away. Got a midwife appointment on the 26th of may and a nuchal scan in june. I just wish there was some way I could tell that the baby is doing fine. Because in my first pregnancy I didn't have any symptoms at all of a miscarriage..only my morning sickness suddenly vanished but I just thought that was normal.
I am having some nausea and sore boobs and I hope everything is fine. Just need some support!! xxx

welcome to PF. Sorry to hear about your previous losses can you phone your epu and ask for an early scan? With my first pregnancy I miscarried at 6 weeks and because of that I have an early scan at 6+3. x

The fact you are having symptoms is a really good sign fingers crossed that all will work out alright this time this is a great forum and you are definitely in the right place to get some support. Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know!) Xxx

I'm sure you could get an early scan because of your previous mc's. If not I had a private one, you can get them from about 6 weeks mine cost £55 but I think it depends where you live. Welcome to the forum and congratulations x

Hi there, congratulations on your pregnancy! I can understand how you might be worried , I'm sure you will be able to have an early scan to put your mind at ease.

Hi, firstly congratulations and fingers crossed for you that all is fine not sure if this will help but i'll share it anyway! my first pregnancy (been trying for ages!) i actually pulled some strings at local hosp and got an early scan - Thought it would put my mind at rest, unfortunately they could only see an empty sac and my hormone levels were low, i then had a nightmare 48 hours waiting for 2nd hormones, then they hadn't risen enough, another 5 days of anxiety before next scan (the nurses implied eptopic) at next scan everything was there! heartbeat etc etc but i wish i had just had faith, relaxed and waited, Would have saved one of the worst weeks of my life!! I'll be waiting for my scans like everyone else from now on!! Lesson i learnt is don't worry until you have a very solid reason to worry! Let us know if you have the scan that all is well

i worry about everything as i have had m/c and an ectopic previously, so i know where you are coming from! i have had loads of cramping etc which scared the hell out of me, but i had early scans and everything is fine! I would be a wreck if i had not had them!! do what you think is right xxx
