WorkingTax Credits - are new claims backdated?

I've just got my arse arond to filling in this year's form.

But the new one's out next week. I'd rather not do two. If I do the old one will I get some backdated pay? If not, I'll just wait for the new'un.

I think they do back date, but not 100%. might be to when you first asked for the claim form, might be to childs DOB.
