my midwife has just left and my BP is down to 138/88. I'd given myself a deadline of 1st december before applying for my maternity leave and I was just filling in the forms when she arrived
I had my first 'official' physio appointment yesterday, after sneaking along with mum to hers for a while. Mums physio thought I had arthritis so I've been doing all the exercises for that, but the physio I saw yesterday was an obstetric specialist and thinks it's a combination of arthiritis and SPD, so all the exercises I've been doing have made it worse .
I'm now trussed up like a turkey with support belts, going to the loo on crutches, and sleeping on a slippy sleeping bag, but after just one night I'm not tensed up with pain and my BP is acceptable .
If anyone else is suffering with hip pains, push your midwife for physio - my appointment took ages to come through but I'm hoping I can start to enjoy this pregnancy at last - I can worry about the other problems when I go into theatre.
