Witch has arrived - Ive been getting it wrong!

Hi,

My period arrived last night...

Feeling pretty disappointed with myself..

I have been tracking my periods on an app and worked out my fertile week and we dtd every night during that week... but that was it for the entire month.

My period arrived early last night which I'm assuming means I probably ovulated earlier than I thought and completely missed my fertile window..

I just don't want it to become a chore which last month felt like it was.

Hubby and I have planned a few date nights next month and we have some Parties etc to look forward to so fingers crossed

You could try cheapy opk's if you are completely off . The app that I used which has been totally off this time around was saying I would ovulate 5 days after I did. So I tried cheap opk's and worked the first month I used them x

I'm in the same boat and was so so deflated yesterday.
My opk and temps suggested I ovulated at the same time, so not entirely sure what else we can do.
We dtd every other day up to ovulation then three days in a row during and day after, then hubby went away.
We spoke yesterday after I had the early af spotting, we will miss the next fertile window, but the month after we are just going to enjoy each other and not stick to a schedule.
I can't keep beating myself up every month and feeling like I'm doing something wrong and failing

It's hard trying to predict when your body will release the egg, even with apps, Opks and prayers. My temp showed the normal indication that I O Yesterday, I had EWCM today but no + OPKs and I've tested since CD15 apart from CD16 (CD18 now) so who knows what the heck is going on.

Apps aren't necessarily that accurate...cheap opks might be better, and tracking CM.

Can I ask what app you used Dionne I use flo and find it very accurate although I don't follow it like a bible xx

Start checking or at least noticing what your cm is like through the month because that's how I get to know when I'm getting there. Usually 2-3 days after EWCM starts, I get a positive opk and I usually just aim to dtd every other day from when EWCM starts. It has never worked that way though and the three months this year that I conceived, we only dtd once either the day before or on the day of ovulation. They were all lost easily but it does go to show that timing is everything foe conception.

Don't wear yourselves out, try to just dtd every 2-3 days after your period finishes for around 14-16 days or longer if you have a 30day+ cycle. Use opk's as well and dtd an extra day or two when you get a positive opk and you'll be well covered. Then you can take a break from dtd to recharge for a couple of weeks.
