Hi there,

I'm looking for some advice please. My baby was 6 weeks premature (he's now 5 weeks old & 7lb 9oz) but he's really difficult to wind. No matter what position I put him in or how long I pat n rub for he very rarely burps.

Yesterday evening he was quite colicky and unhappy and crying & i just felt so helpless.

He does break wind which eases the problem a bit - but any ideas on helping him out?

Have you tried Infacol? You need to use it for a while to get the effects but it's very good for bringing up the wind. x

I dunno, maybe keep trying a position to wind him. I put Joseph on my knee, lean him forward a little and rub. Can't put him on the shoulder, he is just too nosey and looks about all the time lol.

Have you tried laying your baby on his front in your arms and gently rubbing?

infacol was a godsend for me with my dd1, she too was realy colicky because she wouldnt bring up wind and she was also very small too. it takes a few days to start working but you give it b4 every feed until they feel better then give it every few feeds. good luck

xxxxx
