My little boy is suffering badly with wind. He is now refusing his bottle when he is getting the wind. I've tried infacol dentinox and gripe water anyone else know of anything i can try. Thanks.

Have you tried Infacol? It makes them Evies wind easier to bring up... and smells like oranges! :rotfl:

The bad news is that we have a windy baby and despite trying Dr Browns (been on them 4 weeks) and Infacol (5 weeks) as well as gripe water etc she is still windy. She's screaming right now in daddy's arms in fact and trumping for England...

The sad fact is that their guts take ages to develop (usually by the time they're 3-4 months) and until then they can't properly digest their food. So we just have to ride it out

Best of luck to you xxx

I havent found anything to help bring up Chesters wind...

Gripe water, infacol, new bottle, jigging round the house.. nothing works! Except sometimes a warm bath helps a bit.

If anyone can recommend any winding positions thats may help??

Have you tried lying your LO across your lap, face-down & rubbing his back?

or sometimes if you swaddle them so they can't flail around with their arms and are all nicely cuddled up and secure calms them down a bit.

Also if they need wind to come out the bottom rather then thru burping cycling with their legs sometimes helps, along with pushing both legs together up towards their tummy and back a few times.

Good luck.... my LO only got colic bad for about 1month at around the 3-4month age, so hopefully yours won't last too long & there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Maisie suffered really bad wind until she was 5 months and I paid for her to see an osteopath as she also had reflux. Anyway the osteopath told me that no amount of winding will bring wind up if it is trapped in the babies stomach and the only way to release it is to lift the left arm above the babies head as it is like a u bend in the stomach and lifting the arm up straightens it and the wind can be released. I still use this now if she has trapped wind and within a minute she burps!

Best £30 I ever spent.

Wow - that's well worth knowing! I'm going to try that today and let you all know how I get on! Thanks for the tip!!!!!! :cheer:

i tried it and it doesnt work for mine, she just screams cos she dont like he arm being held up there. lol

 Hi.

Your welcome, I wish I had known about it when my baby was 1 month old lol.

Glad it worked.

I still use that technique now if I think she needs a bit of help.
