Why can't Paris Hilton just do her time?

Sorry if I sound harsh but I don't see why Paris Hilton should be treated differently to everyone else just because she is a celebrity.

She made a mistake and I think she should learn from it and just do her time. There are a few petitions going round to 'save her' but I won't sign them, I think she got what she deserves (although 45 days does sound like a lot but i actually think she will benefit from this!)

At the end of the day, it is an alcohol-related driving case and so she could have put some lives in danger. What do you think?

I agree, why, is she paying her way out of it? I think we should start a petition to have her jailed. This isn't her first offence either is it. Would these people be petitioning against it, if she had recklessly ran over a member of their family or close friend? I dont think so. Grrrr it makes me mad

I agree totally - i had to laugh when her mom said that they had spent 'all that money' im sorry but no money in the world should be able to buy that - she did a crime and needs punishing for it - just like we would be punished if we did it!!!

I read about her this morning on the sky news website and she said that her fans have started a petition on her myspace page to stop her from going to prison. I joined myspace a few days ago and I tried going on her page because I wanted to leave a comment saying something like, your going to jail for 45 days not 45 years. But you have to be in her friends list before you can leave a comment so I've added her. She hasn't excepted yet but it's getting on my friggin' nerves so much! Why can't she just except that she's been caught out Trillionaire or not she should stop moaning and do her time! I want her to except me on her list so I can give her a piece of my mind!!

LOL I laughed so much yesterday when it said on the radio she had sacked her manager for telling her she was allowed to drive WHILST HER LICENSE HAD BEEN REVOKED! Omg how dumb is she?!!!

Oh my God I did the EXACT same thing this morning. I've been on myspace for about a year now and I had to add her as a friend just to post a comment. I also wanted to add a comment like: "you need to learn from your mistakes" but I'm still waiting for her to accept me. lol
