Meeee!
I'm so excited to experience it, my son was a planned section due to baby being transverse and this one will likely be the same as still transverse making doctors think I have a funny shaped uterus forcing them in to this position BUT this baby keeps trying to move and I have a teeensy bit of hope that I might get to experience labour if he manages to get head down!! He's having a good try bless him.
I havn't got the fear or anxiety about labour as others describe, I can't wait for labour symptom spotting, counting contractions and notifying people that things are happening. I was my waters to go with a big gush so I can be sure that's what's happened and then work out what to do next.
Im obsessed with reading labour stories and researching what contractions feel like lol.
So exciting!!

I think it'll be miserable but I have this desire to do it as far as I can as naturally as possible!

I'm so excited too like you not anxious just want it to hurry up haha, 1 week till due date& still no sign he's superglued in there I think far to comfy haha!! Have you got everything ready for baby's arrival? Do you know whether it's blue or pink? :) xx

DS gave absolutely zero signs of being ready to come out. None at all. No plug, no BH, no nothing.

20 mins before his due date, I had a full on contraction out of nowhere. Half hour later, I was in the hospital, and he arrived three hours after that.

I'm split over looking forward to labour. Yes I am, because I enjoyed labour so much last time, but no I'm not cause it means the end of pregnancy, which I also enjoy, but yes I am cause I get to meet my little girl...

Babies play havoc with emotions :) xx

I am, have planned a home water birth!

My first labour wasn't enjoyable at all as everything just went so un according to plan but I'm hopeful for this time around

Meeeee! But just want to get there now. 4 days overdue and tired of waiting already

I could not be more excited, obviously nervous for the unknown. But looking foward to experiencing it. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one, because when I say this, people look at me like I am mad lol xx

I am in a way, not so much for the experience of labour itself but just to note the end of the pregnancy, which has been hard, and meeting our baby for the first time.

This thread reminds me of when I was in hospital a few weeks ago. The girl opposite me came in all 'bring it on, I can't wait, I like pain, I'm excited'. About 6 hours later she was crying in agony. I know you shouldn't laugh but it did make me chuckle, she soon changed her mind! lol

Not that everyone is like that I must add. That might come over a bit scary.

It does really hurt I'm not going to pretend it doesn't but I found it manageable, particularly with gas and air!

Excited to meet the baby but not hugely fussed about labour

Lol @ Buggy! That made me giggle.

Emmmm I'm not so much excited to experience pain. I'm interested to know my own threshold. But at the same time scared of the unknown - so will baby get stuck in my pelvis, will I have a prolonged 1st stage because I am a FTM... A few too many questions that i won't get the answer to until D-Day.

Suspect I will crumble, need an epidural and forceps etc. it really is the fear of the unknown for me right now.... Ahhhh scary. But I totally can't wait to meet my baby!

Totally mixed feelings.
I'm excited as it means baby will be on their way and I want to be able to say I did it and know what it's like. On the other hand I'm a total wimp and have a low pain threshold so will probably be useless at it all.x

It's all about your state of mind, if you go in there positive and determined you'll be fine :D

Honestly don't have an opinion on it at all. First time around was a disaster but baby got out ok and that was the only thing that mattered to me. I honestly never understood people who say they were gutted that they missed out on labour. If I don't experience it it's no loss because I still experienced every thing else including being a mum!

im very excited! last time was an induction that ended in an emergency section so really hoping to go into labour myself and get my vbac this time :-) feels like the unknown! xxx

Ahaha I bet that's what I'll be like! I'm really looking forward to labour, but don't like to tell people who already have kids for fear of sounding really naive! Xx

I'm still more nervous than excited. I'm excited to meet baby of course, but just want her to get here safely, and keep worrying what labour will be like, and will there be any complications xx

Having been through it less than a year ago (and therefore very fresh in my mind), no, absolutely not! :)

As this is my fifth baby, I kniow what lies ahead (or there abouts) and I know it hurts. I'm not looking forward to terrible pain I'm afraid but I'm excited to meet my baby x x

I'm the same , this is my second baby so I can guess what to expect this time. I remember it was bad lol but just not how bad. My labour was straightforward really and actually I'm excited to push again. I found that to be the best bit. Xx
