hi there, with my first daughter i had to have c-sec after failed induction and 3 days of agony...just wondered who eles had one and if they would want another or go for the natural option??? and does anyone even know if you can just choose after having one with the first child????

Hi tia

I had a c-section with DD as there was complications during the labour, her heartbeat was irregular and I wasn't dilating fast enough.

I would have a c-section again but i would like to try and have a natural birth as i feel like i missed out 1st time. Having said that, my labour (apart from the first 19 hours of it) was easy once i had my epidural.

I think you can suggest to MW that you would like to go down the route of epidural if thats what you want but i think they try to encourage you to have a natural the 2nd time round.

i had elective section as baby was breech... the thought of pushing baby out terrifies me now lol i wud love a c section next time. after 2 years my hosp will force you to try natural . between 18-24 months of c section its your own choice and under 18 months they will insist on c section :D xx

oh really... wow well my daughters nearly 5 so looks like id have to try for natural and i know what u mean it frightens me to death as well!!!are all hospitals different do u know??

yeah its each hospitals own policy i think. theyre trying to cut down on sections in uk as we do apparently double were supposed to and theyre expensive..... so they are trying to push more people into VBAC. i will try to get preg before madison is 15 months so i will have the choice... i may end up going natural but my c section was such a breeze to what i was expecting lol xxx

I am having VBAC this time, no major surgery for me again (I hope) :)

I had an emergency c section with my first and elective with my 2nd, im thinking about and researching into vbac this time round :)

I had an emergency section with my first and if this one is a sticky, I'd like to try to avoid a section again. xxx

i def want vbac if pos this time dont want a few weeks f needing help if i can do it natural and be fine x

I have only ever had sections, had three now, and will have to have another as had previous plumbing ops and they didn't give me a choice cause of this. I'm sure it's the easier route watching "One born every minute" but I still feel robbed of a VBAC!!

How do I help my daughter if she has kids, without labour!! So if I could I would have a VBAC

I think if i get a BFP soon i would like to try for vbac this time around. I had an elective with my DD as she had a very large head circumfrence and was predicted to be nearly 11lbs. I am a rather petite woman so it just wouldnt have happened naturally. But i guess i can't be sure until it actually comes it. I think hospitals and mw's are very 50/50 split on this decision in particular

I had natrual birth with DD and it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be although I did tear inside and out but didnt feel a thing......and would love to deliver naturally again if we manage to get preg.....however I have been told I will deliver via section with having ME/MS as the lack of energy with the chronic fatigue would be to exhausting and prob prevent me from delivering....we will see tho! xxx

I had a natural birth with Evie. She was a big baby and I actually delivered while my MW was out of the room, so I ended up with a 3rd degree tear which needed sorting in theatre under a spinal. I've been advised if and when I have my next that I'll need to be assessed to see whether I can have a natural birth again or whether I'll need a section. I will be going for natural all the way if I can, I'll be a bit gutted if I have to have a section, purely because I loved the feeling of waking up and realising I was in labour

oh my goodness pipper... bet that was scary no mw around!! its like your worse nightmare mind you the midwives on one born every minute seemed to drink a LOT of tea in the staff room scary though you did well xx

Ha ha! I must confess mine was not off drinking tea, she had gone to get me some more anti-biotics as I had tested positive to Strep B so needed them while in labour.

She didn't think Evie was anywhere near ready to come so left me, and while she was gone I pushed with a contraction and out popped Evie!
As she wasn't there to control it I pushed again with the next contraction (as you do) and when she came back into the room Evie was one push away from being born!!

I think she was more shocked than us! Certainly wont be doing that again with the next one thats for sure!! xx
