which teats?

Hu ladies, lo is 7 weeks old and up until now has been exclusively breast fed. Last week I begun expressing the odd bottle to give her when we are out or whatever. She takes the bottle no bother but half of it ends up splurted down her front! When she is sucking some of it comes out the sides of her mouth. I have tried MAM anti colic, tommee tippee and avent bottles all with size 1 teats but it happens with them all. Any suggestions?

Id say its more shes not used to.it properly yet than the teat size, whenever we move up a size LO does this, so Id give her time to adjust xx

This happened to my liitle one with TT teats, so we now use the Medela Calma- it's designed to mimic breastfeeding, as the baby has to form a vacuum on the teat, and suck tp get the milk, rather than it just coming out on it's own, It's pricey, but has worked really well for us- Molly has taken a bottle pf expressed milk at least once a day from 3 weeks old, & happily switches between breatfeeding & the bottlke.
