I was talking to my mum yesterday, and she got me to thinking that although I am planning on BFing, we should still have a tin of formula in the house for emergencies or if I am ill or something.

As I had planned to BF exclusively, I hadn't even thought about formula.

What formulas do people recommend? I know nothing!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Liz

I wouldn't worry too much about having it in the house, there are always shops open that someone can call past in case of an emergency. I know that if it was me, and during times that breastfeeding can be really tough it would be too tempting to turn to if it was in the house.

I absolutely agree with Kina - have faith - it might have been too tempting for me in the early days.

Good luck and post here if you need any help or support.

I agree with the others. Don't get it unless you really need it.

Which one you end up getting is all down to trial and error. Some will agree with LO, some won't. You won't know until you try though.......

thanks guys... as I said, I had planned on just breast feeding, which is why I hadn't thought about it at all...

hopefully it'll all go without a hitch and we'll manage to get BF established nice and quick... now all i need is the baby!!!

:)

Awww they'll be here soon. This forum was a wealth of info and support when I breastfed my DD (nearly 2 years ago, how time flies!), so if you run into any hitches then there are always lots of breastfeedings, current and past, with advice and support for you :)
