Which Breastpump should I get?

Like others say, hang fire until after the baby is here with the pump. Unless you have problems feeding the baby from the go its not advisable to start expressing straight away as it can really cause havoc with your supply and it can create a never ending cycle of huge engorged boobies that need expressing whenever you replace a feed with a bottle. I was really looking forward to my OH doing a night feed and the time he did it I was up and awake anyway trying to express as my boobies were so sore and leaking on the bed!

It calms down eventually though and you can skip feeds relatively easily when your supply is established.

I have a Philips avent electric pump which has served me well being used once a day minimum for 9 months.

It's a different action to the swing, I get more milk out with it than I ever did with the swing, so it takes half the time as i can do both together and i got at least 40% more milk with the free style. Put it this way, through illness I didn't have enough milk at the start and it wasn't really improving, when I changed from swing to freestyle my milk supply shot up and I'm now getting 150% of what LO is aking each day, but thats just my experience. I'd say it is stronger, I had to have the swing up full strength on one boob and I only need get this about 30% to do the job.

If your either planning to, or end up, expressing full time rather than odd bottles it's SO important to get the pump which suits you best to get maximum milk.

Wait, just for clarification do you have the Freestyle or Pump In Style?

Thanks for the info!

Sorry, I have the pump in style! Baby Brain moment there! I looked at the freestyle but brought and love the pump in style
