I was considering buying some Avent bottles just in-case i fail breastfeeding but i've read a few cases of them leaking and wondered what you've found the best bottles to be?

Thanks ladies.

Mam ultivent but you do have to do them up properly but out of the avent, dr browns, tommee tippee and breast bottle i found my mam ones the best and they are great for keeping air out since i have just been using these jakobs colic has bisically gone he dosnt even need colic medicine anymore...they worked the same for myneice she swears by them...you can get them in blue or pink and 5 or 9 oz bottles..also dont waste ur money on the little bottles they r great for abiit but before you know it they will be on 5/6 oz n u will have to buy a new load of bigger bottles

Dr Browns.

They leak horribly and are expensive but made an ENORMOUS difference to Stanley's colic, making them priceless! :D

They can leak though as long as you're careful putting the tops on you should be OK. We've only had problems where we've thought the tops were on properly and there was a bit of a gap somewhere..!

Lots of people have success with Dr Brown bottles as they are meant to be very good for avoiding colic. They are more expensive though so I don't know whether it's worth buying them in advance especially if you are breast feeding.

Are you buying a breast pump? Some of those come with small bottles anyway.

I still have my breast pump from my little lad, i have checked it and it's still working, so just looking to buy a few bottles,i've been lucky with neither of my kids having Colic(is that because of breast-feeding in the early days?), but want to get some in-case i need to express some for if i need to go out anywhere on my own or if i end up not being able to breast feed like before.

i used tommee tippee ones. i tried avent but nathan could never get a good suck on them he used to suck in loads of air.

i use dr browns (take a lot of getting used to can not shake when hot or put lid on too quick when hot and when heating in hot water you have to unscrew them a bit) BUT haha i like them now.

i also use tommee tippee boob ones cos they came free in my sterliser

xxxx

Avent bottles! I love them. We did have the anti colic ones with our eldest but i'd wait to see if you need them first.
