I had the worlds happiest baby, laughing and smiling at everyone and everything! Until 2 days ago when he just groans - no exaggeration - all day! I don't believe his has started teething yet but I tried some teething gel which made no difference. It makes no difference if i'm playing with him, leaving him to play alone in his bouncer or his mat or if i'm carrying him round with me he just whinges constantly :(
I miss my happy little baby and I don't know how to make him happy. I have the wonder weeks app but according to that we should be going through a happy period.

Any advice?

Thanks all x

I've found Wonder Weeks to be off by a couple of weeks with my two, so we're going through a grotty period when it's supposed to be a sunny one! Sometimes though kids can be right whiney little moos, or mine can be anyway  maybe he's just going through a grumpy phrase?

My boy is similar age to yours and has recently started making a lot more noise in general. He's got this funny noise he makes when he's tired or getting ready to have a poo. He seems generally ok with it though and it doesn't then descend into crying if he's left to grumble away. I think he's just finding his voice and learning to make noises. My eldest was an early talker, God help my ears if this one is too!!

Has he had a poo in the last few days? My boy will occasionally get constipated and once went 7 days :( and he gets really upset and bummed about it.

If not, id give your hv a ring, maybe they can suggest something to look out for or pop to the gp?
