where's my bump?!

Hi, I'm new to tri 2, I'm 14 weeks on Mon. I've got a tiny bit of a pot belly at night (I'm v.slim) but other than that, I don't look pregnant! When did ppl start to show??? This is my first. I'm scared that I'm going to go to my midwife apt at 16 weeks and she won't be able to feel anything?! X

Hun I dint get a proper bump until about 20 weeks then it was tiny lol! Baby still small! Mw will find baby hey r used to prodding around

She will be able to feel baby and find hb. Don't worry about that. I showed quite early on but some people don't show for a while. U must have tight tummy muscles which is keepin ur bump hidden. hey will soften as u progress and ur bump will suddenly appear from nowhere!

Thanks ladies! That's made me feel better! I have a doppler and can find the heartbeat really easily, I know exactly where baby is. Ive had a feel of my tummy but not a clue what Im trying to find! It's just all these preg books say 'you should be starting to show a lovely bump now' and I'm like errrr? I,m a bit of a fitness fanatic so my tummy muscles are very strong. Thanks guys x

Hey hun, i'm 15 week and slim as well,, first baby and no bump at all, think it can take a while to show with your first! i wouldnt worry, i'm just enjoying fitting into my clothes while i still can xx

Everyone is different and I think it depends on how toned you are. Im now 26 weeks and only have the tiniest bump. Im still in normal clothes and people have only really noticed this week because Ive just had a polo shirt on with it being warm up here where as when I wear the normal polo shirt, sweatshirt and body warmer there is still no visible clue.
If mw says everything is fine then dont worry about it.

i'm not showing at 18 weeks, I'm the only one that can really tell but sometimes I feel a solid lump much lower that the belly button! I am feeling little nudges though so I know he/she is in there.

Thank you. Well, I had my 12 week scan last Monday (at 13 weeks) and baby was measuring exactly 13 weeks, was extremely active and she said that evrything looked normal at this stage. Once you've gotten over one hurdle, it's countdown to the next isnt it! MW appt in 2weeks and 20wk scan on 16th Nov! x

I think it's the most surprising part about being pregnant for me, I never knew it took so long to show!!! Just worries me how much stretching my stomach still has to do in only a 4/5 months! xxx

It felt like forever for me to get a bump. I feel like a walrus now though so enjoy being slim for s bit longer I was about 22 weeks before i was showing much x

i didnt start showing properly til 15 weeks and iv got twins on the way, so dont worry! it will happen xx

I would like to blame my expanding waistline on baby, but at only 13 weeks I think it's more likely to be the amount of crap I've been shovelling in my mouth for the last few days!! At the moment, if it isn't nailed down I eat it!!
