Because when I had my son I lived in a flat it was okay to put him in the bedroom at 'bed time' because it was literally only a few steps away so i could check on him constantly.

Now I have a house Im not sure what to do in the eveings?
I have a crib for my room and a moses basket for downstairs but do you put newborns upstairs by themselfs at 'bedtime' or normally keep them downstairs in the eveing and then take them up to bed with you when you go up?

Thanks.

I had Paige in the lounge with me until I went to bed until it got to the point where she was being disturbed. I think she was about 2 months old and then she went into bed at bedtime. I wouldnt have wanted to put a newborn upstairs without me.

No me neither, although im sure shed be fine, i have baby moniters etc but they just seem to tiny and also if she starts to scream would be best if she was near me so she didnt wake up my my little boy and id have 2 screaming haha

think im gonna just use my moses basket, so if im downstairs she can sleep and when i go up ill just carry it up and put my moses basket in my cot or something x

i used the moses and put her in the dining room (it was a living room/dining room) with the lights off in there so it was dark, she never slept in there if it was light! then when i went to bed i put the moses into the crib, it was a perfect fit! when she started sleeping thru at about 6 weeks i started just putting her straight upstairs cos i knew she wouldnt wake up and had the monitor anyway if she did!

Charley stays with me until I go to bed! Once he's sleeping longer I'll start putting him to bed earlier and on his own

I kept Harrison downstairs with me until I went to bed which I did for his 10:30 feed. Moved him upstairs on his own abour 3 months in if I remember rightly x x

if noa is asleep in his basket i move it in to his cot as bedroom is next to lounge :)
