There are so many sites and people on ebay selling 'genuine uggs', but theyre not genuine unless they're deckers uggs. The word ugg is just a generic term for the style of the boot so anyone can call them ugg boots. On ebay, 90% of them are fake. I've found some on asos.com but theyre £170, and didnt want to make hubby pay quite that much lol. So your mission, if you're bored is to find me some genuine ones under £170 lol

Found 2 sites but not sure if they're real....

In this review are pictures of fake and real ones

huge thanks if you succeed! :rotfl:

Have you looked at Emus? - very similar style, but with a more supprtive sole and heel area so that they don't collapse like Uggs do. And they are apparently THE ones to have this season!

They are £120 for the long ones, they sell them in John Lewis and Russell and Bromley. I bought these and had to take them back cos they didn't fit my freaky feet!

I have just bought some from Next that you have to look twice at to see they aren't Uggs and they were £30!

Can I ask if they look so similar why does it have to be the real deal? :)

Magic Monkey do the ones from next have proper soles, not that spongy stuff i see in most shops

I am surprised, they are a lot cheaper here! I got these ones in July: http://www.softmoc.com/ca/systemshow-item_I5825%20CHOC

But got them for $190 as I had a discount code and also got free shipping. So in total it came to 95 pounds.

Just surprised, imported stuff is normally so expensive.

BTW I got EMU boots before and UGG's are a lot more comfortable, I use to have a pain in my leg with EMU boots.

One more thing, I have never seen UGG boots reduced anywhere, even when there are big sales the UGG boots are separate. The only reason I got them reduced was because the code was for the site.

I wouldn't believe it was real if they say it is reduced.

Try this site discount coad is 'pop15' at checkout for 15% off. http://www.shudoo.co.uk/shop/ugg-australia/ but Im not sure if the coad is still working.

(The site used to be called Uggs and Kisses and that site has been going for a while. So pretty sure they are genuine)

Also kiwi sheepskin are brilliant too if you want a pair similar they are good quality and are actually made in NZ where as UGGS are made in China.

They have a kind of rubbery sole - so possibly that spongy stuff.

O better hope my OH doesn't see this. Deckers is a swear word in this house with him being an Aussie and all

Deckers are a US company who bought an Aussie company/name that made Ugg boots. It registered the trademark but their Ugg boots are made in China and defo not genuine Aussie ones.

Read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugg_boots in the Trademark dispute bit. You'll see that in Australia 'ugg' is generic and Deckers don't have the trademark on it.

I'd honestly say that any Aussie will tell you that any Ugg boot actually made in Australia etc is a proper Ugg boot. Doesn't matter the make per se, just that they are Aussie made. Deckers don't count

Somewhere like this place http://www.uggys.com/
