when to tell people at work?

Hi folks,
I'm 13 weeks and 2 days pregnant and although I've told pals at work I'm nervous of telling other colleagues formally as I've had two mcs in the past - although I've never got this far and the scan showed that the baby is thriving.

When did you tell?

I have only told my parents, my grandparents and my mother in law and I am 14 weeks.

I had to tell my work at around 6 weeks as I was feeling very ill. I work as an OT Assistant within a hospital, so I had to avoid infections, agressive patients and the worst of all.......smells xxx

I have to say that my work was fantastic and have put me on flexi time when I am feeling tired or sick. xxx

I told my work when I was about 13 weeks, once I knew that my scan was ok because I had also had a mc before. I wouldn't have been able to hide it for any longer though as I started getting a bump really early x

I told my work at 12 weeks because I knew nothing about maternity leave and pay and wanted to find out my rights early. Yesterday they made me fill in a form for health and safety and I was asked to read a booklet about health and safety. I was also told that I will soon get a letter explaining my rights. The booklet I read stated that "the employee must tell her employer about her pregnancy as soon as she finds out she is pregnant" so I am glad I did this early.

I had to tell work at about 6 weeks, as hyperemesis kicked in and i had to stay of work for ages!!! Luckily though, my boss was great and has let me come back to work part time for now.

I know that there is a point in the pregnancy when you legally have to tell your employer. There are some government websites that will tell you when this is
