hi, i was just wondering when you think would be a good time to have your hospital bag ready? we are still decorating half of our house & most of the stuff ive bought is under a lot of other stuff & im worried i should have a small bag packed already, just incase? or do you leave it until a lot closer to your due date?
thanks

I did mine around 35 weeks. Started accumulating things whenever i went shopping, then around 35 weeks i had my bag out and kept throwing things in as i got them. Re-packed several times upto the week before.

I'm going to prepare after payday this month, then I guess start packing after that.

I bought most of my stuff for it past 30 weeks and packed it closer to 37 weeks. Some of the stuff I never actually packed but left out to grab as and when if I needed to go into hospital. Other stuff just stayed in there.

I packed mine 8 weeks before due date.... which was very lucky as I then had my LO 6 weeks early!!!

All 3 times I've had mine done at 35 weeks. But this is only because I know quite a few people who have gone into labour around 35/36 weeks!

I was going to pack mine about 37 weeks but Dan was born at 36 weeks so had to rush around packing my bag while my waters were leaking!
I will pack mine about 35 weeks next time.

35/36 weeks id get it packed by hun.

Mine was packed then, I just needed to chuck shower bits in n that when in labour.

ive packed Sophies hospital bits, just slowly getting my bits together now.

Same, Tally's bag has been fully packed for a while now, everything is clean and left, mine has been packed and re-packed god know how many times! It should be fully packed now, and i'll need to grab my make-up bag (not just make-up its everything i use daily now, like deodrant, hair bands, my hair clip, bands, face cream and make-up) and i'll need to get my tens as that always jumps in and out of my bag atm.

It depends whether you like things packed and sorted, some people dont and wont bother packing until labour, and i like things organised so packed early, and even had a list to make sure everything was in.

I wrote a detailed list at thirty something weeks. I didn't pack until 41 weeks though. I had intended to leave it as something to do in labour but I got bored.

I never packed mine

Didn't realise I was in labour and definately didn't have time to go home and pack.

OH had to go home and get me stuff but luckily the hospital helped me out too! :rotfl:

I was home 8 hours after Evie was born though so I was lucky enough that it didn't really matter!

 Next time the bag will be packed as soon as I get my BFP to compensate! :rotfl:

so far my nan, my dad peters mum and cousin have all asked me if I've packed mine yet I'm a bit  I was under the impression you pack it as from 30+ weeks.
Im convinced that if I pack it now I'm tempting fate!
I'll pack it about 35 weeks I think

i wasnt gonna bother coz i planned a home birth and i was being optimistic lool but when i got to 35 weeks and little bugger was still breech i resigned myself to a c-section so thought i'd better pack one! baby did turn a week later but i kept the bag packed just in case we needed blue-lighting but luckily we didnt. still used the bag tho home-born babies need a trip to the hospital the day after anyway to get checked by the paediatricians. x

I would say get it sorted as soon as you can.

Mine was half ready but I was rushing round trying to get it sorted when I went into labour at 37 weeks. Not fun

Good luck :D

I was going to pack at about 37 weeks with my first, but my waters broke at 34 weeks and had him a few days later. So I say pack early coz you never know. :D

It's never too early to pack your hospital back if you ask me.

I packed mine at 33 weeks first time around, glad I did as my waters broke a week later!

It would have been a right pain, rushing around the house packing my pack on top of lots of water coming out of me!

early

I had finlay 3 weeks early and hardly had stuff sorted
