they say at about 26weeks they can hear as then both inner and outer ears are fully formed and functioning!!!!!

I only know this as i was watching something i recored xmas day on twins from conception to birth or summot like that and i was watching it too see what they were upto at week 26!!!!

Heehee I have allready played ours a bit of Billy Idol haha! I thought I seen somewhere that they could hear really early on :| all this time Ive been blabbing on to myslef! :D

I've read that they can ehar your voice from around 12 weeks not too sure about outside things yet though, but i guess your voice must vibrate down or somthing

Not till 24 weeks plus and properly about 26 weeks. Its all fully developed by then. Before that not.

Truth is no-one really knows, some parents have claimed certain songs, sounds that were played whilst in their 1st or 2nd tri, but not since, yet their newborn appears to 'know' them. More research needed really. Try it yourself, play something for a week now, and don't play it again until after LO's born, see if they appear to 'know it' :D I find it hard to believe that your LO isn't already aware of your voice, tone, ambient sound, its noisey in there but they are very clever y'know hehe
