My Mum is Irish (from Waterford), as were both her parents, and my Dad is a true East-Londoner through and through, and his parents were also from the East-End! My OH's maternal Grandparents were Russian, so Amber has Irish, English and Russian blood.. and I'm half English, half Irish!

grandparents names are robertson, jones, guy, barrell..... but you have to go back generations to find anyone not born in england (london area)

OH has polish, welsh and english blood in his ancestry. We have had real problems tracing his nans mother though, but we haven't checked the new 1911 census yet. Does anyone know if the welsh one has been done, or is it just england?

Im not 100% sure.

Both my mum and dad are british but my great grandma was adopted. Both me and my mum think she is mixed race or some sort of foreign blood, she was very dark skinned and very dark hair. I am very dark skinned and have very dark hair, I only have to look at the sun and i go brown. I still have white marks from a holiday we took in April 2007 and when im on hoiday people always think im a local, like when I was in Greece they thought I was Greek, when I was in Spain they thought I was Spanish. People always ask me if my parents are foreign. So I dont really know, I would love to somehow find out though.

English . Both parents from London. Could say cockneys as dad is from that area, I do have this annoying habit of using some rhyming slang (butchers, dog and bone etc) so have picked it up from them over the years . I'm a country girl from Kent though .
