We really need a new duvet! We used to have such a good one - one of those 2 part ones that clipped together for the winter, or use them single as a thinner one for summer.... we put it to the dry cleaners and it came back ruined and the replacement we got, just isn't as good :(

I'm searching for new one just now and I was just wondering what tog yours are?? And if you think it is worth it us buying the 2 part one again or not

Ours is one of those clip together ones, I think one is 9 tog and the other 3.5, I can't really remember that well but it was a wedding present (bought from Debenhams). To be honest we've never needed to use both of them together in this house, although we did in our old house and it was brilliant.

We tend to have the lighter one on in the summer months and the heavier one on in the winter ones. Neither is right for the opposite time of year so I'm glad to have both but you can probably get just as good separate ones for cheaper than buying an all-in-one.

Ours is only a summer one...4tog I think. I have to actually get dressed to go to bed :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

OH is always boiling and I'm wrapped up like I'm going on a North Pole expedition

I was wondering this today actually - what do the shops class as a 'normal' summer and winter tog? We were in the shop and there were all these togs and we don't know what tog the one we have is, but we need a winter one.. :wall:

No idea

Its too bloody hot whatever it is! We did have the thinner summer one on but put the winter one on and now its too hot!

You should get the clip together one. I am waking up in the middle of the night cold recently and oh says the one we have is fine and that I am freakishly cold but at the end of the day yes, Im cold.

We have a 2 part duvet. Would not have anything else now. I wash mine in the machine separately and never have a problem with it. Dries well on the line also, then finish off in the tumble dryer if need be.

In the colest part of winter we often clip them together so its lovely and warm but most of the time the thicker part alone is fine for winter. And all of last summer cause it was so crappy

you know i have no idea? . . but its warm enoygh now without any extra blackets... and its fine in the summer too... lol . . (plus i never have central heating on upstairs)

i wounder what mine is . . . ?

I would fit them in my new machine, but my old one was tiny hence the dry cleaners and then a ruined duvet
