What to buy baby?

I think I've bought everything now for the baby's nursery. She is due 11 December so I am hoping she will be here before Christmas. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas for a few presents I can get her as it will be her first Christmas!! I know she won't know about it but its special to us that we recognise it!!

My daughter was born on 7th Dec last year so was 2 weeks old at Christmas (can't believe she's almost 1 ) but we really didn't buy much I think we just got her a nice rattle and some clothes. There's really no point in spending much because as you say they're none the wiser and plus you already get loads of gifts when baby is born x

I don't think it's wrong, no.

I think if you want to buy anything, then why don't you just buy things that you would have needed to buy anyway - clothes, toys etc.

Our LO will be 6 months, and I'm not buying him loads, probably just one main present and 2 or 3 smaller ones, as he really will have no idea! Plus, he'll get thoroughly spoiled by mine and OH's families x

Im going all out this xmas but he will be 11 months!! I wud buy them a keepsake like a really nice teddy as they wont be playing for months!!

Alex will only be 4 months and 3 weeks at Christmas, so he won't have any idea that it's different to any other day! I don't know what we're going to get him, maybe a special outfit to wear on Christmas Day, but I'm not going to go overboard because we're trying to save to buy a house, and he's already got enough toys / books etc. to last until he's at least one!

Next have some Christmas-y clothes on their website already, jumpers with snowmen or reindeer on

OH's parents have said they'll buy him the next size up car seat for Christmas which is handy as it will save us some money (although he obviously won't need it for quite a while after Christmas)

My lo will be nearly 7 months and she wont be getting too much ive said to people if they want then to put money in her account im sure shell be more interested in bixes n paper lol x

No way!!!!

My boy will be nearly 6 months and I am getting him a few new toys, and some clothes. He doesn't understand and will get far too much from other people.xx

I'd buy stuff you will need for baby, and maybe a teddy or somthing small. I've gone a bit mad buying for M for Christmas. I think I've bought too much to be honest she'll be 11 and a half months. I've asked friends and family to buy her clothes if they want to get her a gift coz we have so much toys bought already. Xx

Last year she was 8 weeks & she got:
Cot mobile (hadn't picked one before)
A singing teddy
Musical phone
My first piggy bank
Pj's, dressing gown & slippers (family tradition)

Family mainly got clothes & my mum got her a snow globe to start a collection
