Hi - does anyone have any reccomendations for a suitable small car I can buy that's under £8K ( doesn't need to be new). I want the smallest and easy to drive car there is but it needs to be 5 door,a resonable boot size to get a buggy in, and good safety records. Hubby wants me to get a big estate car but I'm never going to be able to park it it's too big!

i recommend a toyota corolla ! there boot is massive and it comes in 5 door , there relaible and well under 8k ( u can get a sprty version for that !) im only selling mine as i have a dog and really did need the big ole estate lol

I've got a Peugeot 206 and have had it since Reece was 2 months old, its great, I've never had any probs with it and I can reverse park it! :rotfl:
You can turn the front passenger air bag off so baby can go in the front seat or the back

We have a Vauxhall Agila. Brand New are about £6k, and its a fantastic little car!
We bought it in 2003 when i was pg with DS1, and we still have it now. Its spacious inside but small outside.
I only passed my test a year ago and learnt in a Toyota Yaris 5 door, and I actually felt the Vauxhall easier and smaller to drive, and it has a large rear window so its excellent for reversing (something im still not good at  )
The seat are a little higher up than in low cars too so both Boys love being able to see out of the windows.

We can fit 2 2nd stage car seats in the back, and should be able to get a stage0 one in too with a shuffle around. :D

we've got a mercedes a class - i LOVE it :)

bags of room, 5 doors, cruises on motorways, high driving position and reasonably economical :)

My friend swears by her Skoda Roomster, dont be put off by Skoda, its really nice 5 door and has tons of space for a small car (much more than my focus) and good price brand new or brand new/second hand.
