I have just started using SMA Gold, as it was all the chemist had when I went in...

Whats the best one in your oppinion?

He's got reflux so I will be adding gaviscon to it... if there is any major advantage to another milk vs the sma one.

We used SMA Gold for 2 months and changed yesterday to SMA LF (lactose free). Connie had bad wind in her gut and was persistently sick after food (not projectile) - HV seems to think the slight reflux she has could have been caused by the temporary lactose intolerance too.

A few of my friends started on Cow & Gate and switched to SMA Gold because of constipation so I think SMA is pretty good? Not heard anything about Aptimil but I think people on here know stuff about it...

For Lydia we only ever used SMA white (once she stopped breastfeeding) and it was fine for her

I tried Aptimal first and Sam was really constipated with it.
He's now on Cow and Gate but he is suffering with really bad wind and constipation but trying to perservere with it for the time being.

Ryan started on breastmilk then after about a month he went on to cow and gate. had no problems

A few of my friends found C&G gave constipation but SMA didn't. Might be worth a try?

we use sma gold and haven't had any problems so far. aiden has a lot of wind, but don't think thats related to the milk.

I started off on farleys as I got it as a back up plan incase breast feeding didn't work out. He got badly constipated on it so I then switched to cow and gate and it has been brilliant. He does have the odd day where he can't poo but it isn't very often.

We've used Aptamil 1st milk from 6 weeks and never had any problems with it.

We've been on SMA gold since birth and have had no probs with it. I like it cus you can get it anywhere and they do the ready made cartons in litre size and single sizes.

After stopping breastfeed, Danica was on SMA but it made her sick so we switched to Aptamil. She's been on that one since - no problems!

There's no best, just what suits your LO best, so if they're happy I'd stick with it personally  Isaac started on SMA, moved to C&G and ended up on HiPP, they all suited him perfectly at different stages :)

i think all bubba's are different. We used Aptamil for the first few weeks and Izzie was fine on that , but then OH bought SMA white by mistake so we started using that intead. She immediatly became reeeeeeeeaaally constipated, it was awful :( My Health visitor said sma is notorious for it, but from reading this some of you have been ok with it? Anyway, i stopped using it straight away , but the only milk my local chemist had in was Cow&Gate so i had to buy that......and we've had no problems at all  She's regular again , thank god and not too windy or anything so we've stuck with that :D

Aptamil and Cow and Gate are made in the same factory and have the same ingredients, one is marketed at middle class....... :? funny how they make you think its better than the other one....... :(

I have used cow and gate for both my babies, shes still on hungry baby now and loves it!
