What happens to cm when you do get preg???

Just wondered really coz if cm is supposed to dry up after ov..do you get a bit of cm if you are pg? I am probably symtom spotting but wondered if it could be a sign?

Hmmm not sure - I have had all sorts of CM this month and still coming. I am not really likely to be pregnant this month and I am about 7-9 days dpo

During early pregnancy, the cervix becomes closed and blue in color. Cervical mucus also tends to change during this stage of your cycle, so the cervical mucus would begin increasing due to hormonal fluctuation and blood flow to the uterus.

good question, I wanted to know the same thing. I am experiencing a lot of CM at the moment and have been wondering whether it is a symptom or not

You do get more CM in the early stages!! It's not nice as you constantly feel damp and like your period's just about to start but then there's nothing there.

I'm getting a wee bit excited now I've had so much CM in the past 2 days! I'm not assuming anything but

Ooh I hope it is a sign, I think I am due on anytime now, today kept checking coz felt a bit damp (tmi) and also having to get up in the night for a wee which is not like me! I am probably just being daft, I'm unlikely to have caught the eggie coz we only bd'd once around ov but I can still hope

You only need one to catch hun! We only bd'd twice over my most fertile period last month and we managed to get it

Hi I always get loads of CM after ovulation probably for the first week after OV... the second week it trails off a little more and more towards AF.

I have heard that lots of people get a lot of CM after OV when they are pregnant though so i cant really see a pattern forming there!

I guess everyone is different.... or just me!

You do in general, get increased CM in early pregnancy - i suppose it's an extra barrier to stop infection etc getting in the cervix. I would however add that if you had some really good fertile CM it could take maybe 7 days to "dry up" so could give a false impression (happened to me )

If you are getting a good (and what 'good' constitues as totally depends on what is and is not normal for you ) bit of cm about 8DPO onwards it could be a good sign

Hi thanx for your replies, my cm did actually dry up after ov but just in the last 2 days I have had cm ( not ew, just sticky stuff) so am keeping fingers crossed that it's a good sign
