Im due with my first baby today and am wondering what exactly should i b looking out for with a show? some say its blood stained some say its not?

It's the mucus plug in your cervix. I think it's different for everyone. It won't necessarily be blood stained and some women don't have a show or see it should I say.

Mine wasn't blood stained. It was like a thick, stringy discharge. Yuk, sounds horrible.

Cheers bagpuss was getting all confused, am just kinda waiting for something to happen even tho it may be a while yet!!

yeah Mine was clear jelly like stuff! looks and sounds disgusting! :puke:

Mine also wasn't bloody .

mine was like a great big lump of slimy snot. :D

Yeah I would say snot is a pretty acurate disription! several trips to the loo and wiping away a load of thick stringy snot, you cant miss it!

I have been experiencing a large amount of discharge in the past few days and sometimes its been blobs almost jelly like and takes a while to wipe away (Sorry if TMI) i just wondered if this is a show, i know that some women's shows can go on for a number of days/weeks and doesn't neccesarily (SP?) mean impending labour (Which im glad about as im not 100% ready YET lol) but am just curious as to whether this could be a show or not.

Thanks

Mica

i had my show for like 2 days and was alot bloodier than wen i had chloe!! wen i had her it was a huge pink blob lol

I had the stringy snot stuff for a couple of weeks. When I started having mild contractions and I had an internal I was loosing the snot stuff but it was bloody. My midwife said the bloodier the better because it means things are moving.

I think im already getting that, little bits at a time, does that mean when the time comes i wont have 1 big lot cause it will have all gone by then? lol

i am too cassi. have been doing for a few weeks now.

Am i right, its just small amounts and clear and like strings of snot? :puke:
