What does every one think to the smoking ban now?

I thought it was a good idea but im starting to think it isnt such a great thing.
Just walked into town and theres bins with the fag end trays, theres a massive pile just left ontop of the bins. And next time i have to push my way past a group of smokers to get out of a building im going to scream!!! why are people so selfish? fair enough they cant do it inside but is there any need to stand right outside the doors blocking them? my chest is killing me now, had to push passed a load of people outside sainsburys

any one else anoyed?

as you may or may not know, ami is still in the hospital and its awful walking in and out of EVERY entrance. all the sick people stand huddled with their drips and dressing gowns on right next to the door. it drives me mad, i have to hold my breath and push past them and it makes me angry cos i have to walk into an intensive care unit that has to be kept totally clean and i feel like im carrying all their smoke in on me.

horrible. they shouldnt even be smoking if they are so ill.

I haven't even noticed a difference to be honest, I still see people smoking in places they shouldn't be. When I take Josh to the park and I see people smoking there it pisses me off, I know its outdoors but it still aint the place to do it

I know what you mean, but I do agree with Kelso, they do need to go somewhere and whilst it's not right they stand in the door way, but whether it's the door way you're coming out of or the one next to it someone isn't go to like it. I live next door to a night club and we hardly ever used to get hassel from people entering and exiting it but since the smoking ban they stand outside and cause trouble or sit on the wall outside our bedroom window which normally ends up with them being sick outside out front door I can't really say much because I used to smoke but I do understand where you're coming from

people cant ban smokers from smoking outside. i do think consideration needs to be taken when children are involved, which i hope you mean.

Predictable. Outside IMO people have the right to smoke where they like, this is what happens when you have a total ban but it should work both ways. They have had the ban here a few years and the same problems happened here. For example, there were smoking rooms in malls here, they were taken away. There used to smoking rooms in restaurants, taken away as well.

There just needs to be a little bit of common sense. I am getting really put off with all the countries that have silly rules and tell you how to run your life. I rather be somewhere that I can control what I do.

BTW when I go to the park with Kai he goes for the cigarette butts every time, there are so many. People don't need to throw them away there, surely? That is just ignorant.

i just dont understand why they have to stand in groups and block places. I dont mind people smoking sat on a bench or walking up the street but it just so anoying. They wouldnt do it before the ban so why all of a sudden do they do it now?

I know people have a right to do what they want but to me its rude to just stand in some ones way regardless of what your doing. I would never just stand lingering round the doors of a supermarket.

i used to smoke too and since i stopped my chest gets really sore and i cant breathe when i breathe in smoke. I know it probably sounds daft that im such a moaner about it.

Same here. I pushed a women the other day at the cinema, she just stopped when she stepped out the bog doors, she knew i were behind her aswell.

this is what happened to me today
i was walkin along with a basket on my pushchair that had 4 big bottles of diet coke multi pack on so a big heavy n hard 2 manover
this girl decides 2 stop
i i give the evils an shift to the side even though it was hard byt the time i shifted to go behind her she then moves back n walks forward im like grr and she stops again so i say for fuks sake n barged past
musta hurt her back of her feet seeing as she was wearing flip flops but some ppl

thats terrible in my hospital its no smoking on any of the grounds at all so you have to walk up to the main road so patients have to do without!

im glad there has been a ban cus my OH has finally decided to quit smoking. he finds the going outside when on a night out drinking a pain in the arse and now baby is almost due he is not allowed to smoke in the house so he has been to the docs to get help with quittin. im sooo proud!!
