Take absolutley EVERYTHING you need/use at home (plus sun creams etc) as there is nothing out there, you really do go to Egypt for the sun and historical values, there is no real shopping there apart from tourist tat and you won't be able to find nappies, jars of food etc it's like stepping back a thousand years there with regards what we consider normal. Take everything, pack more rather than less as honestly nothing is avaliable out there!!
Check with the airline your flying with regarding taking formula and so forth, most are ok with it so long as you are travelling with a baby but rules change from airline to airline, i.e. what can go and what can't etc. Check that regarding foods/milks etc but remember if they say NO to you taking forumla through check-in etc remember there are Boots etc on airside (the other side of the security checks, x-ray machine bit etc) you can buy anything you need in there if your not allowed to phyically check in with it as the supplies on airside are checked.
I've been twice before (never with a baby though) but ask if you have any other questions and I'll try to help.
