Hey,

So as far as I’m aware I’m around 5 weeks, got the doctors tomorrow.
I’ve googled things but I never know what to believe, thought I’d put a post on here so I can get advice from people going through the same things as me..

I don’t know what little aches & pains are normal,
I understand a lot is going on inside me but I’m really unsure what’s what..

It feels like I’m wearing a rubber ring of aches lol
Not as painful as period pains, but in the same areas.. just like a dull ache.
My lower back / sides too! Not constant but on and off.

Also, wanted to talk about the lovely subject that is constipation lol! I know some people get it, but I’m kinda the opposite at the moment, so not sure if some of my aches is down to that also?

I probably sound like a numpty but I just need to know this is normal feelings x

Period type pains are definitely normal, mine started within about a day or two of finding out and lasted weeks. The occasional lower back pain seems pretty normal too. As long as you haven't got any bleeding, I wouldn't worry too much, just try and make it as comfortable for yourself as possible. x

You get ligament pains too, which is kind of like a sharp pain in your lower stomach area. I think those pains are more noticeable once you get towards your second trimester, but I definitely felt it earlier on, just to warn you in case it happens! x

Thank you!

Well, I get little random sharpish pains, nothing bad but noticeable..
but I’ve worked out I’m only almost 5 weeks..

No bleeding nothing like that, I’m not looking forward to possible spotting coz I’ll really panic.
Thus is why I wanted to post this, to hear stuff from real people answering my questions also gong through this, google can be the devil! X

Google is the worst, there will always be a negative story for the symptoms you are having. Your aches sound completely normal though.

You will probably start to feel really tired 24/7 too, so don't worry if you find yourself napping every day, definitely allowed in this situation! x

May do that anyway lol!
Going to be difficult working 9-6 on my feet all day x

I was exactly the same Beccy, both times!
Had period like pains since 4DPO and for the first few weeks I had such an upset stomach.

Honestly, within about 15 mins of me eating a Sunday lunch I needed the loo... that’s too much info I’m sorry but I’m not sure if maybe it was too rich for me?

Currently I’m sat on the sofa, aching abit down below and flutters just above lol it’s abit weird! X

I'd prefer it coming out of that end to vomiting though personally :)
It calmed down by week 7-8 x

I feel really sick but I haven't actually thrown up yet, just bad enough that I lay there waiting for it to stop!

Oh bless you!

I’ve just had my first doctors appointment.. my usual doctor is on mat leave 🙈 go figure? Lol
He said aches & pains are okay but if they get worse or there’s blood then obv get seen ASAP..
I don’t mean this to come out wrong, but he’s never experienced this, so when I try and explain full period paid he actually has no idea what I’m on about lol

Yeah that's the problem with male HCP's and pregnancy, they're all qualified but they have no personal basis for comparison.

He is right though unless you're in agony or have red blood you're fine x

I think it’s just because it’s all so new & I know the first 12 weeks is more scary.

I’m 4+1 and having some little sharp twinges in lower abdomen, and lots of lower back ache which is freaking me out, but I’ve been doing a test every day and the line is getting darker and darker sooo I’m going to take the aches and pains as a good sign that the egg is growing away nicely in there otherwise I’ll crack up, Is anyone else having a fair bit of lower back ache too?

This is tmi but also having more number 2s then usual, urgh
