Yesterday was the day i went to the hospital to have my blood test done again for some more tests.
It was already boiling yesterday and once i got into the hospital it was even hotter, air con really wasnt working very well!.. had to wait a lil while till i was called in..once i got in the room blood test was ok, I HATE NEEDLES! but it was going okay, until she said she couldnt get it to stop bleeding, which was fine. But then i looked at it. Still was ok.. Left the room and had to get some water, luckily i was with my mum cause i sat down and she kept talking to me and i couldnt hear her!
Next minute i woke up on the floor with about 10 nurses round me and my mum slapping me round the face!
Once i came round, mum was almost crying. She said my eyes rolled back and i was frothing at the mouth!!
was really embarassed when i came round because i was in the waiting room!
lol..Just thought id share this with u all.
Never ever fainted before so was scary!!

x

oh no, i have never fainted but after your story i dont ever want to!! (i did chuckle when reading that your mum was slapping your face!!)
x

Oh cripes  What a drama!

What are they testing for in particular?

Oh, well... a life's experience anyway - you can take "fainting in public" of your list of things to do before you die

I feel for you hun, I suffer with low blood sugar and when I was in my late teens early twenties I suffered a number of fainting spells..... most embarrassing being in a nightclub and most painful waiting for the bus and falling face first on the concrete floor (it was after this that I was diagnosed) so now when I get the shakes I make sure I have something with sugar in it.

That sounds a bit like diabeties doesnt it?
Haha hayley i chuckled too once i came around and saw everyone starring at me lol..
Erm louise im not sure, they are all in like letters, i know testostherome? thiroid, horemoans, and some other stuff but it was all jumbled letters so i have no idea!
It really was scary tho! i had never thought id faint! Good job i was in hosp or i dunno what my mum would have done lol!

Hahaha yeah i recon..bless her, she had tears in her eyes, i really scared her lol!

Yes it must have been really awful. My sister had a reaction to the anesthetic at the dentist once and she just collapsed and was going in and out of conciousness and my dad completely freaked out...

My mum said wait till ur pregnant ull hav to have loads of needles!..is this true :|

Oh dear! had to chuckle! i once fainted at the doctors, not quite so horrific tho. was having blood test and sat on a chair with a pillow on my lap and arm resting on it, i started feeling funny and the doctor was asking if i was ok but it was wierd like it was echoed and next thing my head was on the pillow didnt realise i was so flexible lol. hope your ok now tho! x

Oh sounds like a bad trip to hospital.
Unfortunately what your mum said is true, they do like taking bloods when you're pregnant. But it might just have been that it was hot and stuffy - doesn't mean it will happen again :)

It is quite scary when you faint. I've always been that way inclined even if someone is talking about something squemish I can feel that way and the key is to sit down and get your head as low as possible. My uncle had throat cancer and was telling me and my mum about the operation that he had to go through in his kitchen and I fainted! So embarrassing. My poor uncle had to go through the op - I just fainted hearing him talking about it! x

God jodie, u didnt hit your head or anything did you? yeah it really is such a strange feeling, everything is echoed and mum said my head was wobbling all over the place, like u said bea, the way my mum was showing me what i looked like, i had no idea my neck could do the things it was haha!
well thanks girls for making me feel like im not the only one, just hope when/if i fall pregnant i dont have to have to many, although they told me next time i go i have to jump the cue and lay down when i have the blood test done lol! yay, saves the half hour wait :)

No I didn't thankfully I just sort of collapsed in a heap. Was only out for a few seconds. My mum spotted me and got to me quick - she's the same way inclined and knew how I was feeling because she felt the same way herself. She was just a bit more of a pro at spotting the symptoms than me! x

Ah thats good!
Its strange how you both are like that tho? x

Yes I don't know if it's something genetic but we are definitely both pre-disposed to fainting! x
