Hey ladies,
some of you may remember i wrote a few threads a while ago about the trouble i was having being re-housed due to severe anti-social behaviour and overcrowding (ive put the links at the bottom of the page to refresh your memories ). Well last thing we heard from the council was that we had been refused a move on the grounds of 'insufficient suffering'. So being absolutelty furious with this desision we requested a meeting with the director of housing and we got one for today at 4pm.
We got a phonecall from counciller shimi last week to let us know that basically the housing director got her ass kicked for refusing us a move and would grant us a management move at this meeting today .
So we went it to the meeting today and the first thing the HD said to us was 'we have an offer for you', and that was basically that! we got told the address and so we went up and had a look at the area and a wee peek through the letterbox.
The flat was fine (plain walls, laminate floor), the area was quiet, not too many neighbours. Also as a huge bonus its a stones throw away from the hospital, where i'll be studying/on placement when i start my midwifery course in september.
It may be a few weeks yet before we get to view it but finger crossed it all goes well and we are out of this hell hole soon!
So for all you ladies out there who are having problems with housing just keep pushing and bugging people that can help, it may take a while and yes there will be times when you want to give up,but keep on at it, and hopefully you will get rehoused.
here are the old (moaning) threads:
