i went to the HV and came away a bit worried last time i took Braydon 3 months ago he was 30lb 5oz with just a nappie on, was fresh on. this time he was 30lb 9oz and had all his clothes on but no shoes and socks wen i got home i weighed his clothes etc and they weighed about 8 oz so he has actually lost is that ok or should i be worried??
also in my family we have ahistory of feet problem and i have realised Bs lil toes are starting to turn in and make the second ones do it, so i told the HV and she sed he would probably need a lill opp to have his tendins?? realised so worred bout now has ne one else known someone whos had this??
also he has a fallen arch in both feet wot does this mean and wot is the treatment
sorry to be a pain just worried

Aimee is always loosing weight. Shes only about 6oz heavier now that she was at christmas cos one month she will put on and the next she will loose and shes now on the 9th centile. HV told me not to worry cos they are so active at this age. She never stops eating though :D At least he is a very good weight, poor Aimee only weighs 21lb, lol.

try not to worry too much, they tend to loose weight as they become more and more active. What centile is he on? is he following his line? As foer the fallen arch, this means he might be flat footed and may need an insert in his shoe to make it more comfy.HTH

Just read the fallen arch bit and just thinking Aimees feet are totally flat and she walks on the inside of her feet. Don't know if its the same thing but when I looked it up it said it was quite normal for kids to have flat feet till they are about 3.

Harley has lost loads of weight he was always very big but now he is pretty thin he was 30lb 4 months ago and is 29lb now

but i think it is because he is crawlingn and walking now

no idea about the feet though x x x

Hi

Hope you get some sort of an idea of what will happen soon hun keep me posted  , it never ends for the poor guy

Have his feet always turned in slightly? Have you noticed it more since he's been walking? Has his fallen arch been medically diagnosed?

Sorry for all the questions..
If it hasn't been medically diagnosed and you've never had his feet checked, I would ask for them to be checked by your HV or doctor. He may have mild talipes (club feet) and if he has it must be mild not to be noticed before and will probably correct itself with more walking, or maybe a few simple physio exercises for you to do. My son has severe talipes and one of my nieces had mild talipes which never required any treatment. Talipes can also cause feet to look flat (Josh has no arches) but babies do have flat feet at this age too.
