.... Was a lucky co-incidence that I'm having pains and had an appt booked already. I'm not convinced they're real labour pains, but she did an internal (ouch, I'm so crap at having those) and said that my cervix was 40% efffaced. So although I'm not in labour yet, things are definitely moving the right way. The really scary thing she said was that baby is lying on it's side - first of all she said back-to-back, but then she said it's more on it's side, and then that it might be breech  Then she started talking about c-sections    It's good to be fore-warned that that might happen, what thinking about about breech, and in a funny position I left a bit scared.... She also said real labour could even start tomorrow (my due date) or this weekend :cheer: I'm really excited, but I must admit a little apprehensive... ie trying not to be terrified lol. I'm going to get going with some pre-labour acupressure, and try and make sure my contractions are having some effect, plus drink a small lake's worth of raspberry leaf tea lol. Apologies for the huge whinge, the most important person, baby is absolutely fine!

:cheer: So glad your baby is fine! Did you MW suggest anything like pelvic tilts to get baby in the right possition? Hopefully bubs will turn around for you! Can you believe how close you are?!! This time next week you'll probably be holding and cuddling your little bundle of joy!

Thanks Cristie  I reckon you're just as close! MW didn't recommend anything, but I'm going to sit on my birth ball in a mo, and visualise baby turning lol I've been doing loads of pelvic tilts, but hey few more won't hurt either lol. Just want to hold baby now and get all this over and done with!

They sure know how to stress you out! No definate answers for you, baby *could* be this or that or even breech :? Have we got the same MW?

Hope things start moving and baby is the right way and position!

LOL we may well do lol. My MW is usually great, so today was a bit shocking. But I'm on my ball now, I've found some acupressure to make sure babies are the right way up and we're going to have chips for tea, so life isn't all bad lol. Thanks Minime

our baby turned loads during labour, which is why he was born with cord around his neck 3 times  he turned from back to back to left side then to right

Yeah, you had a right wriggler there! Must have been scary to see him with the cord like that - but it does make the point you can't be sure how they will "present". How you all doing now Sassy? Missing your lovely bump yet?
