After posting about my positive A+E experience at West middlesex hospital 2 weeks ago when requiring emergency blood tests...

I found myself back there again today following some slight bleeding and severe cramps during the night at 27+ 1 weeks

Obviously very worrying experience (although luckily all seems fine now- was a concern it could be early labour though!) and I can not praise the staff at West Midd enough for their treatment and support- was seen by a 2 midwives and 2 doctors who were all there throughout the entire day for me. I thought they might just brush me off but instead I was monitored very closely and thoroughly despite the hospital being busy.

Went in to the antenatal clinic this morning and was told to go straight to the maternity triage ward where the baby was monitored and I was examined (externally and internally!) very quickly. Was then kept in for the day to ensure there was no more bleeding, despite the dr believing everything appeared fine internally from the examination. Before being allowed home I was examined again to ensure no changes had occurred and they monitored the baby once more. I was then given a direct access number for the room I had been treated in should I have anymore concerns over the weekend.

Altogether very reassuring, despite the stressful situation! :D

Sorry to hear about your bleeding  I had a similar thing at 21 weeks. It's really scary. I hope you are resting up now and taking it easy.

sorry to hear you had a nasty scare, but great you are being looked after so well!
