Hiya,
Do you watch 'you are what you eat'? Its great for alternatives to 'fat foods' and ideas.
I need to loose about 3 stone. Ive signed up to do the Race for life in June and the Great North Run in October as a 'target' or a 'goal'. At least then I have something to aim for.
My down fall is biscuits and cake. In the first week I cut out biscuits and lost 3lb.
Basically Im not dieting, just eating healthier and I will still eat cake and chocolate once in a while, just not as much as I was.
I have also found that because Im losing the weight I dont want to jeopardise that by giving into my cravings.
Ive started to cut out carbs late at night. Ive exchanged biscuits for dried fruit and raw carrot, oh and sesame and pumpkin seeds. It sounds boring but it is actually really nice.
As an alternative to cheese we have discovered soya cheese. Although I have yet to try this.
I have also signed up for the gym. I am hoping to get 3 forms of exercise in a week. It will be my time out from being a mum as well as getting fit! Im also wearing a pedometre and making sure I do 10000 steps a day.
