Weaning - who is planning to do what?

Just wondering what people are intending to do

After speaking to my HV last week Im definately planning to try baby led and hoping to wait till 6 mnths.

Apparently babies need their milk right up until 6 months and if weaning is begun too early and they dont get a good milk supply they can miss out on essential vitamins?
love the thought of baby led and Austin trying new foods all by himself and feeding himself.....awwwwwww

Hes just started on 8ozs and 7ozs lasted him 6 weeks, so hoping to have hit 6 mnths by the time 9 ozs aren't enough.

I started a few weeks ago coz of little guys reflux and it has helped a lot!! YOu only give them a tiny bit to start so harrison is still more or less getting the same amount of milk as he did before. He loves his grub so I know for him it was the right time to wean!! I do want to do BLW with his tea so going to hold out for that if I can!

What sort of reflux did he have ? Was he throwing up - or just what we call 'blurbing' where he blurb abit up after his food.

Austin had it quite bad a one point n someone suggested switchin from aptimal as its supposed to be quite rich but it died off so never bothered.

Both, he is a windy baby but also it just used to keep coming out!! Lol!! I think it is coz he gets very excited at times and it causes it to come up, it has been much better since he has been on solids. Suppose if all we did was eat milk we wud be sicky too!!

Im doing it now James has quite bad reflux and still projectiles now even though he's on mess and food my carpet got a lovely greeting at 7 this morning!!!!! Lol also he's a hungry baby too 9oz bottles every 3-4 hours he had a 9oz bottle at 3 and has just had another 9oz and a full Ella's kitchen pouch of strawberry and apple.....usually he has 3 meals a day but today he's only had breakfast and that along with bottles as he's poorly with a chest infection.....also even though he's on solids he still has 4 9oz bottles a day!!!!

I started ruby at 4 months she loves her food , she now has 3 meals a day.

Awww no carly - have u tried planning his last nap 2 hours before u want him to eat/sleep.

That way he's shattered after his last feed n drifts straight off.

Another thing I do is - THE SLUMBER BEAR!! Have u got one? I always put dummy in n slumber bear on as I put austin in his cot.

Makes womb noises or white noise which ever u / henry prefers xx

Yeah he has a bath at 5:30, feed at 6 & he was asleep by 7 but woke as I put him in his crib. He eventually went down at 10:15

I'm not keen on the noise things, they tend to keep him awake.

I started at 3 and a half months and to be honest, I really didn't want too.

She doesn't have a particularly good appetite and also has reflux. Due to her refusing bottles constantly I was advised by the doctors to give her food. She likes it but I only give her one meal a day x

I don't feel I know enough about it to decide yet. I am going to a talk next week, so hopefully will be better informed at the end of it! Ideally I want to wait to 6 months cos I want my carpet to stay white a little longer!
