In order to let us try and get some sleep we have decided that one of us will sleep in the living room with Joe in his carrycot and one will sleep in bed.

Stuart is really struggling with the lack of sleep so tonight its me through here. Im on the cot bed mattress on the floor, im quite small so it probably makes more sense for me to try it first.

Im just going to lift him for a dream feed but it might only take him till 2, 3 at the best. 4 hours would be fab but I doubt it :wall:

Hopefully in a few weeks his routine might have settled down, at worst it might be a few months. I just feel a bit sad about having to sleep apart from stuart, I like a cuddle. But, I also like a sleep.

 awww babe sounds like you are all struggling now. i promise though it will pass. i thought harley would end up exploding with all the milk he was taking! it was such a shock to as Dior was opposit the HV was aways threating me that if i didnt wake Dior every 2-3 hrs then she would go back to hospital as she was so tiny.

just go with what Joe wants for now just feed him when ever he demands and it will slowly where off.

how heavy is he now?

il send you a hug, i hate sleepin alone too. but you have a newborn baby so it is expected for the time being.. your not alone hun x x

Awww don't worry things will settle down eventually.

OH and I slept apart for ages, Brody was waking every 2 hours, and OH works LONG hard hours, it just didn't make sense for him to get disturbed too. He slept downstairs so he didn't disturb me when he was going out in the morning.

Awww hun I know it's hard. When Damien was a babe we used to have to wae him every 3 hours for a feed, which took 1.5 hours, then try to settle for just over an hours sleep before you start all over again. It was such hard work. Hope he settles soon. By 4 months babies tend to of settled their sleep routine by the sounds of alot of peoples experience and often many before that. Damien started to sleep through at about 3 or 4 months when I gave up on the 3 hour rotuine, went 4 hours and then left him be at night, and he was on reflux milk.

oh hun sorry he aint sleepin to welll
i hope it gets sorted out soon

thanks,
he went down at 11, up at 3, then 5.30 then 7 :(
At least Stuart got a good nights sleep. (no, im not being sarcastic  ).
Im sure it will all get better. I could have cried when I read tankets post about charlie sleeping for 6 hours in a row though, and he is only 2 weeks  , thats great for her though, im pleased :D .

Boys are definetly different from girls.

Eva was the same hun. for some reason she is a really light sleeper. she was doing ok till her teeth started coming through so we have some bad nights again.

It will get better soon though. i know how you are feeling and i really feel for you. is there any chance you can nap through the day or is it impossible with Jessica? I didn't nap but looking back i should have xx

Hiya,
Jess will nap but if there is no one else there i am lucky to get Joe down at the same time. Sometimes I can manage it.
