Ive got a few black things that I wanna re-dye black, so i bought some of the washing machine dye.... I was just wondering how well they work and what state my washing machine will be in at the end??? They are my fav black skinny jeans and they have gone all faded, I don't wanna loose them  also how many items do you think I can stick in there as I have a white t-shirt thats got marks on it and was wondering if I could stick that in with it??

I can't answer all your Qs but I dyed a light grey jacket recently and used DYLON. It worked in 95% of the jacket but a couple of areas had a "tie-dye" effect. What I realised after was I should have rinsed it in water first. :wall: So I have another dye and will try again, following the instructions properly this time
But the washing machine was fine after using the dye in it. I think I had to run 2 washes with nothing in it after. The instructions are clear...I just didn't read them properly.

If I was dying lots of things I'd prob use a half load sort of amount.

Good luck with it! Maybe other PFers have some advice to add?

yeah thats the stuff I have bought!!! I will make sure that I read the instructions properly before I use it I just thought some members might have had some hands on advice before I took the plunge!!!

After you have used it, and finished and hung your stuff.

Put machine on 60degree wash, with white vineagar in.

Make sure you put a wet wipe around the inner and outer rubber rim before doing hot wash.

I've used it before and found it great. I always run the machine on a short hot wash empty once done dying clothes is all.

I haven't been brave enough to try it hahaha!!! I will do it the morra tho cause my jeans look naff!!!
