I'm going to have to wash all the blankets for the baby before he's born which I didn't intend to do! They've been at a family members house cos we have loads of stuff and they've been left in a room which they decorated and now they smell of paint. Will they be ok to wash or will they lose their fluffiness? Xx

All my cellular blankets have gone out of shape when I washed them but that's normal x

I've washed all my blankets and sheets. I wanted everything to smell of us and be clean (you don't know who's been handling them in the shops!). The smell lush and are nice and soft but not a 'new' looking obviously.

I washed everything too including blankets just so that I would know they would be clean and smell nice. The cellular blankets wet out of shape but expected that.

I didn't wash blankets I'd knit myself cos want to keep them soft and fluffy as long as possible but I think they'll be ok cos won't be in direct contact with a lot of LO's skin.
