We've got a newbuild house so plasterboard walls. Has anyone mounted a tv on walls like this? Im thinking of getting one for the bedroom but wont be any space ofr it except on the wall so I dont want to buy it if we cant!

i'm nnot sure chick, but i'm scared of them after all the stories of them falling on babies and them being killed

i was saying to a friend about it last night and she was like, well its only gona be if they're not installed properly, still dont want to risk it tho!! i panic enough about them pulling it off the unit as it is!

I have the same walls in my house and am worried about mounting box shelves onto the walls...OH has put it off for months now but i'm getting fustrated and would like him to put them up so when my cast comes off i can crack on and organise Harvey's room like i wanted too!!
What kind of size tv were you after? We put a 40" tv above our fireplace in our old place and it was fine!!

only a small 22inch :) Im not getting it now cos ive promised myself i'll clear my overdraft.

I would never mount one myself, I would only do it if it was installed on the wall properly by someone who knows what they are doing (they will tell you if it's not sensible).

x

I got a 22" the other day (a treat once I got my student loan) and it's on a wall braket. I was a little worried about it falling down but gosh it just looks too pretty so I forget about that.

yeah wobbles i think i would end up paying someone to do it for us!

I've got my tv on the wall it's a 37" and it's not going anywhere it also has strew in the back of the tv that make it even more safer I've had it on the wall for 2 years and no problems I was more worried about k pushing the tv over on the stand this way it. Ant be touched only by me cleaning.

It also looks pretty lol!!:) x x

sounds good. We will get one for the bedroom eventually. I love watching films in bed

Anyone else finding theyre getting adverts for wall mounting tv brackets at the top of this thread? Imnot sure whether to be impressed or scared!!
