Waking up with 'dead arm'

i have been waking up in the night with really bad pains in my fingers, hands and arms - every morning i would get up and have dead arms and tingling fingers...

i mentioned this when i was at the hospital last week and apparently its really common in pregnant women, something to do with the extra fluid pressing on the nerves

i was given splints to wear at night time and my hands have been better ever since

just wanted to post in case somebody else was suffering and like me thought it couldn't possibly be pregnancy related!!

Yeah I get this too, duno if its related to the swelling i've had in hands feet & legs, my hands/fingers have been really achey too.

Plus I always sleep with my arms under the pillows which doesn't help

yeah I've just been to the doctors about this recently and the extra fluid presses on the carple tunnel so we get temporary carpal tunnel syndrome, which is good for me as it means I get to type my 3 hour exam next week Doctor signed me off from using a pen woohoo

Thanks - hoping bubs doesn't make an appearence between now and then though! This is the last exam for my degree and I would love to get it all done and dusted before embarking on motherhood.
