as above lo is 13 weeks old and for last week or so has woken up at the same times during the night 2200, 0100 and 0400 0530 - do you think it could actually be me that is disturbing him? I was thinking of putting him in his own room. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated? What age did your lo go in own room and were there any probs getting this done? x

also he has a dumy which he sleeps with if that makes any difference. he wont sleep without it and will scream for ver 40 mins x there is no way i can ditch it.

I think Evie was about 12 weeks when she went into her own room and it was because she wasn't having a settled sleep. Everytime she stirred she could see me and she would wake up fully then wanting to play.

Putting her in her own room did make a huge difference....I also slept a bit better too!

It could also be that he is waking up because he is hungry...have you tried giving him some milk to see if that settles him again?

yes i feed him each time too but he used to go longer through the night than this. he is a big boy nearly 15lb and 13 weeks old do u think it will help when he has solids? x

I'm presuming he is BF...which I'm afraid I can't offer you any advice on because Evie wasn't BF. But there are loads of women on here who have successfully BF and will more than likely give you much better advice than me!

It could be a growth spurt. I'm not sure solids will make much difference tbh...i think they do in some babies but not in others. babies are happy on milk till 6 months normally.

Keep at it hun. If it continues I'd talk to your HV about it. It could be habit that he's waking, Evie used to wake if her dummy came out of her mouth so we'd have to repeatedly put it back in every night!

i forgot to say he is breastfed. we tried 1 bottle at night but that just gave him bad wind (bottom end) does it sound like he is waking a lot considering his age? x

I put Emms in her own room at 3 months and she slept through the night from then onwards for a couple of months until teething started!!! :D

melissa was 8 months old when she went into her own room and she sleeps so much better in there! x
