I know the injection means it's all done with quickly, but I have a couple of my own reasons for seriously considering the oral vitamin K instead. What about everyone else?

Our son had it orally and so will this baby

I'll go for the injection. I plan to breastfeed and think that it'll be easier just to have it done with immediately. I'd be concerned that I'd forget to give her the doses at the right times too if I'm tired and getting used to being a mum.

I'm going for the injection for the ease of it. If you have worries/reasons to want it orally then there is no harm in that! Your midwife should be able to give you a leaflet on it and help you with your choice.

I've choosen to go for the oral.

I was worried about remembering it etc but the midwife explained they give a dose at birth then one a week later then another a few weeks after so it's not really a lot to think about for me.

My son had it orally - midwife did the one after a week during a home visit. By the time the later one was due, my son was on formula milk so didn't even need it. Hope this helps x

Jacob had the injection and was absolutely fine, I plan to do the same for this baby too :D

Xxx

both of mine had the injections, might be being abit blond here but i didn't know you had a choice, went for injection on the poll, as this on will have the injections
