my lo has just had 8 week jabs and one of her legs has become red and very swollen, is this normal? Has anyone else had this? No doctor at surgery to speak to til later!! Very concerned!!

Any advice would be great, thanks x x

Sorry I'm not sure, but didn't want to read and run! I know you can sometimes have little side effects from jabs so it could just be a reaction that will go away, but it might be worth ringing your HV to double check if you are worried?

hope shes ok hun, im worried that she wont be big enough to fight all the stuf in the jabs at 8 wks :(

we jst had our 12 week jabs (well j did) and our nurse said if there were any problems becuse of them, to take him straight to casualty or at least to make sure we see someone face to face!! :) hope its all ok!! x

Evie's legs swelled and went a bit red after all her jabs. I wouldn't worry too much. Keep an eye on her temperature and how she generally is. You'll know as soon as something's not right x

thanks ladies, have given her calpol and redness has gone down and she has calmed down too, seems very happy now :eh: Think I might have overeacted!! :) But it did look really bad and with the screaming too!! x x

Tegan had her 8 week Jabs yesterday at 10 weeks and i've never heard her scream like it, her leg was a bit red and swollen but today its just bruised a little. did they do a jab in each leg? x

yeh a jab in each one and same at 12 week! x
