Very strong BH

Has anyone else had them? What did it feel like?

I had lots of sharp shotting pains in my lower bump and pelvis whilst waddling around Durham this afternoon. Then, when driving hubby home (he had some red wine with dinner), I had a REALLY strong contraction in my back. It wasn't painful, I managed to continue driving, but I had to breathe out through it as it took my breath away. It was a strong throbbing, pulsating sensation all over my middle and lower back.

I had two more little ones when I got home and laid down on the sofa and my back has been funny since - not painful at all, just tight I suppose.

I thought it must be BH, but OH is wondering whether to drink at the wedding tomorrow in case we need to rush off.

I think it's probably BH's. Your OH should be ok to drink tomorrow

Funny, I was about to post a thread with the same title.

I have been having rather intense BH all evening so much so that OH has decided not to drink in the pub tonight!

How are you feeling now? I think mine have eased off a bit which is a relief. I'm going to try and get some sleep in a bit.

If the pain is mainly in your back I would suggest spending some time on a birthing ball or on all fours as its sounds like a bit like baby might be back to back

Gah! I hope not! Baby has been good at being in the right position until now! But I will get on that ball just in case!!

I had another strong BH last night that woke me up , but again, not painful at all, just intense.

How things going for you Becs? Have they settled down yet?

Yeah do what you can now cos honestly it's worth it.
debbieM also thought her LO wasn't back to back but she had a very long back to back labour in the end, it's not fun!

I've been surprised at how intense bh can be over the last few days. They often take my breath away.

Same Kalia! I didn't really notice them that much before but just this week they've started to become very uncomfortable.

Thanks for the advice about back-to-back too Urchin - no back pain as yet but I'm not taking any risks and will be over that ball every day from now on!!!

Michelle, I was woken in the night with one too. Ouch! I'm sure it's BH waking me up now and not needing a wee.
