I have a vax swift and we got it for 20quid off ebay brand new ( 50 quid in shops ) and its epic! had it 4 years now and not a problem.

I do like VAX, i cant get on with dysons for some reason

I have a Dyson, it's my second (gave my first, an upright to a family member when I moved into a flat and wanted a smaller model.) I love it. I also love that you can get it serviced (including labour and all necessary parts) for £75 through the Dyson website.

I wouldn't choose to have any kind of vacuum.

I couldnt be without my dyson they are worth every penny. I have a dog and it's great for the hairs.

Mums got a Hettie and it still works well which is a testament to their toughness as my mum normally breaks stuff within 5 mins (not an exaggeration)!

I had a Dyson upright. It was crap and the filters needed cleaning every 10 mins for it to work properly.

Have had a Miele cat and dog for a few years. Never loses suction even with a full bag. It's reliable and a monster vacuum cleaner.

Using Tapatalk can't see no tickers grrrrr.
