Tia was 8lb 9oz, and I had an episiotomy and lots of internal tears, but never had an issue with tampons.. Although, I would get pain if I didn't fit it just right, and shove it as far up as poss (TMI :rotfl:) Think I would have cried if I did have your problems though as I feel the same way about pads as you do. Sounds to me like a problem with your pelvic floor muscles. A moon cup is much larger than a tampon, but I found they could be quite uncomfy if I didn't get the fitting dead right.

Get doing your Pelvic floor exercises... :) and see if that helps?

Hi Squiglet,

Thanks for your reply.

I'll try shoving it up a bit further and also do my exercises! I hadn't even thought about them.

Does anyone else have any advice?

Thanks

I dont know what size you use...didnt want to ask

maybe try a size up?? or have you already done this??

After 3 kids and one that was 9lb 5oz with a huge head I can't use tampons no more they just fall out :rotfl: Gets really sore too so I've give up for now

My first 2 periods were relatively heavy and I was in agony when I had a tampax in....it always felt like I had a big log on something in  I also tried different brands but ended up having to use towels. Once I got my 3rd period it was much easier and now it's back to normal so I can use any tampons now. Hope it gets better soon, I know how sore it is xx

After I had Tom, I had real trouble getting tampons in. It was really sore and felt like it wouldn't go in
After a couple of months though everything felt normal again so maybe just keep trying and see what happens?

aww, poor u! i bloody hate periods (excuse the pun!)

i hadnt thought about that i havent had one still despite not BFing for 2 months now but i hate towels too i kno what u mean about feeling unclean. im scared now tampons might hurt! i'd suggest taking the pill without breaks (one of my favourite tricks!) but u cant coz ur BFing, so idk what to advise sorry!

i have this too, i htink its due to..TMI....too much stuff coming out with the blood, i still have full on bleeding and clots (large ones) i was thinking about going to the gp and having a word as it not got any lighter since giving birth, i also get really bad pains if i try wearing a tampon, i know towels are not as hygenic but it feels better letting it all flow out instead of trying to plug it and keeping most of it inside....ooohh what horrible thing to talk about...lol

I have the same problems Velentine, had a nasty episiotomy with DS and have been unable to use them since, towels are gross, but there are nice ones out on the market now and make life a bit more unbearable.
