UTI?!

Just when I was finally starting to relax a bit, midwife found blood in my urine today and sending off for UTI test. Anytime else had this and how did it turn out? 27 weeks now and want to start being excited rather than terrified!!

It’s pretty common, which is why we are so insistent on checking your wee at every available opportunity. If it’s a Uti you’ll just be prescribed antibiotics to treat it x

Like princess says a UTI in pregnancy is quite common, if it is a UTI you have. I had a UTI in week 37 and was given a sachet of antibiotics to take and everything was fine after.

Ahh thank you princess and malagueta, I know I’m panicking so you’ve definitely reassured me! I’ve just been so anxious and then finally started to relax this week and the midwife goes there’s blood in your sample which literally made me panic like mad! But once she explained felt a little calmer, but just wanna enjoy pregnancy!! Fingers crossed it goes away quick! xx

So my UTI test came back clear which I’m glad about, just bit confused why there was blood? Anyone have any ideas? Got my joyous diabetes test Wednesday so next thing to fret about!!

a bit of discharge can contaminate it and give you a dodgy reading. The good news is that the test done on your sample that they sent would be much more thorough x
